In your own space, make a list — anything between one and ten things is a sweet spot, but don't feel constrained by that! - of things that you wish existed in fandom or elsewhere, or that you'd like someone to make for you. Are you dying for podfic of your writing? Do you need icons for a character that doesn't get much fanart? Is there a story you want to read? Are you looking for new canons to get into? Would you like a collaborator for a project?

Maybe you want more people to talk about a certain fandom with, or you'd love to trade ficlets with somebody over email. Maybe you're new to a fandom and would like some recs to start reading, or communities to join. This is the time to ask!

Ugh, I don't know why it's so hard to ask for things but I guess I'll try...

1. I guess the first thing I would ask for are comments. Any comments for the stories I've written are always treasured and hoarded to pull out when I'm back to questioning why I think I can write in the first place. And not just the polite acknowledgment that you read the story and enjoyed it (but holy shit are those appreciated.)  I want a full length comment where someone went through my story and pointed out their favorite lines or what I did with this character and how perfect that description was. I've received a few of those and omg I'm not going to lie, those usually have me tearing up. My friends are supportive of my writing but none of them leap at the chance to read my works so its heart-warming to get some serious feedback.

2. Recs for sci-fi/fantasy books with awesome female main characters that don't have the paint by numbers romance crap going on. Let me explain. My biggest pet-peeve with a lot of the books floating around out there are they have fantastic worlds or engaging plots, but the focus is on her infatuation with the love interest? I don't mind romance, but the kind of thing where her first meeting is a fight with the hunk where she gets pinned against a wall and can feel "the strength of his body against hers".....*gag*. At that point she should be fighting for her life and trying to figure out where she needs to stab to get this bruiser off her, not noticing how chiseled his jaw is in the halflight of the torches. The slow build up in the background while the story focuses on the actual world ending situation is what I'm all about if the story is intent on there being a romance. If I want the other thing I will go read a romance novel. So yeah, hope that made sense.

3. Recs for long (no shorter than 60k) fics that deal with the "what if" scenario. I adore fics that look at canon and go....hmm well what would have happened if the character had gone left, didn't shoot, had a moment of conscience, didn't hesitate, or was late, etc. As an example, my all-time favorite is 'Embers" by Vathara. Admittedly it is a monster of a fic (over 700,000 holy crap!) but ugh it was amazing. It takes the moment from The Last Airbender when Zuko steals the ostrich horse in the episode "The Cave of Two Lovers", and basically plays out how things could have gone if he HADN'T stolen the ostrich horse. The author goes completely AU with their interpretation of bending and consequences of angering the spirits which is not a lot of people's cup of tea but for me it was like stumbling across the perfect fic I'd always wanted without realizing that was what I was looking for. So fics that deal with CanonAU are totally my jam and I would love to read more. I'm not fandom specific, at this point I don't mind doing a little research to understand what happened in canon to understand the differences. If the writing is good I'm up for anything.

And yeah, that's all I can manage at this point. If I can think of something else I might come back and edit this list, but for now these are the things I think about the most.

Thank you for reading!

Ugh, another difficult one. First asking for things and now saying positive things about myself....*sighs*.

So I figuring I would just promote some of my favorite stories. The ones that I'm truly proud of even if they aren't the best written.

Title: Gift of the Goddess
Fandom: The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
Rating: Gen
Pairings: None
Link: https://archiveofourown.org/works/2213685

- This story means a lot to me for a couple different reasons. The most important being it was the first thing I wrote after my mother passed away. I was still struggling to comprehend her loss and everything felt very numb and remote. I don't remember if I was playing Skyward Sword at the time or if the idea for this story had been lurking in the back of my mind for a while. All I remember was I sat down one day and wanted to write what the first meeting between Link and his Loftwing might have been like, and touch on the idea of knowing deep down that you had someone who was going to stand beside you no matter what.  It was rough and I had to step back from this story a few times, but I got it done eventually.

Title: Where the Legend Ends
Fandom: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Rating: Teen
Pairings: None
Link: https://archiveofourown.org/works/18467194

- I'm particularly proud of this story since it was a long time coming. I think I first starting writing it almost seven years ago, maybe longer. Last year I saw the Small Fandom Big Bang promotion and decided that I was tired of sitting on it and figured it was about time I finally finished what I'd started. Its a little rough in some places since I wasn't able to find anyone to beta it, but I'm proud of it. In it I asked alot of the questions I've always had about the games, what Link thought of being drafted by fate, and the hints that in every life Link has to fight evil in some form or another. Also what was he going to do now that his foe was vanquished?

Title: what a good man deserves
Fandom: Dragon Age: Inquisition
Rating: Teen
Pairings: Hawke/Cullen
Link: https://archiveofourown.org/works/18794740

- I'm proud of this fic since it took me way out of my comfort zone. It was my first time writing this pairing and I'd only recently started reading works with Hawke/Cullen so I was going off the cuff for most of it. But I was pretty happy with the end result and that's what matters in the end.

And enough of that I think. I'm starting to get twitchy doing this.
